Critical Commentary

This article details the purpose of the Creative Commons license as well as its limitations. In a nutshell, Creative Commons aims to lower the barriers of entry for creators to protect their content. However, some potential problems highlighted by the author are: "1) the pitfall of a free license; 2) the risk of irrevocability; 3) the ambiguity of NonCommercial and NonDerivative licenses; 4) the dilemma of ShareAlike and the open movement."
